Tim Knight grew up in Surrey in Southeast England in a landscape like Tolkein’s Shire. Filled with little streams, woods, and gently rolling hills, his most formative experience was exploring with his Mum. As they walked, they created dozens of imaginative stories. As a student, Tim went from ‘somewhat away with the fairies’ to rigorous studies at Imperial College in London, majoring in chemistry. He found his creative/artistic side after graduation. He taught for 6 years in Leicester and moved to Cornwall in 1990 where he truly felt at home. Tim found his muse within the remote moorland and beaches. Writing the Orb Adventure Series with Diane, he feels transported 50 years back in time, creating stories about mythical beasts there to be found by those who want to explore just that little bit further.
